add-on services

to consider...

Radon testing

Radon gas is a health hazard and can only be detected with a special test. Make sure your home has safe radon levels before you move in.

mold air sample test

Visual inspection as well as lab sampling to determine if there are harmful pathogens present in the home.

What's a Homeowner's Worst Nightmare?

Moving into their dream home and discovering costly & unexpected repairs. Surprises like the ones below are what we come across daily while inspecting Georgia homes.

Water Heater Condition

We flagged this unit in the report as: Poor Condition

Corrosion was noted on the connectors of the water heater. Corrosion is the result of a galvanic reaction between two dissimilar metals. This can decrease the life of the water heater and increase the chance of leaks. A plumber should be consulted for repair and add dielectric fittings if needed to prevent further corrosion.

Hazardous Porch Deck Condition

In the inspection report, this was flagged as: Poor Condition

The porch deck floor joists are missing joist hangers, recommend installing joist hangers for adequate support. Because our inspections are thorough, we get up under the deck to inspect these types of things. Without the proper training, one would not know what to look for.

Active Leaks Discovered in the Attic

We flagged the framing/structure as: Poor Condition

Evidence of an active water leak was observed in the attic. Further evaluation was conducted with an infrared thermal camera and elevated levels of moisture were detected at the time of inspection (can't see this with the naked eyes - infrared thermal scanning is included at no extra costs when you hire us).

I would recommend...

Very thorough report on everything in the house. We were on site during the inspection and Peyton took the time to point out specifics and answered questions. Turn around time on the report was quick and detailed as to where everything was located with excellent photos. It helped us to make a well informed decision and I would recommend Peyton and his team to anyone.
